Baby Cox sure is getting big! This week we’ve made it to a big milestone. Babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have
no other health problems generally do fine.
They may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run,
usually do about as well as full-term babies.
We also made it to baby being large enough for Halle to be included in
the picture! She is so big, it took us a
while, but baby is now as long as Halle’s tail, a whopping 18 inches! Baby’s lanugo (the hair covering his body) is
almost completely gone. He is also
beginning to develop his own immune system.
Only 3 more weeks to full-term and 6 weeks to our due date!
We enjoyed seeing family over Thanksgiving. Along with my family and grandma we got to
see my cousin Jamie, her husband Danny, and their over 19 month old daughter
Madeline. They drove all the way from
New Jersey and came bearing gifts. They
brought us our first shower gifts. It
was so exciting to have enough stuff to do a couple loads of laundry. I loved putting clean clothes in baby’s
drawers. I can just picture him wearing
his teeny tiny clothes. We also had our
couple’s shower on Saturday and my shower at work on Monday. I washed and put away lots of clothes and the
room is starting to look complete. All
that’s missing is the crib which we will be getting next weekend!
