Good Bye, 2017!

This year was such an amazing year. Carter started preschool and has loved it. Next school year will bring his first year of public school! Elise has grown and changed so much and talks all the time. I ran my first marathon in 8 years and Ty has gotten into a groove with lifting. We had a year filled with love and fun. January 2nd will mark 2 years since Jeremy's accident and his recovery has proved to be miraculous! We are so thankful for that. 2017 definitely beat 2016 in that respect alone! January 2017
We rang in the New Year with the Race Into the New Year, read about it here.
Mom, dad, and Ty ran the Polar Bear Plunge on New Year's Day.
We celebrated mom's birthday with a cake dad almost dropped and shoved his thumb in to save.
We celebrated dad and Jeremy's birthdays on the 30th.
February 2017
We celebrated Valentine's Day.
Elise started picking out her own outfits and fell in love with these shoes.
Jeremy and I won the 10k team competition at the Sweetheart Run as the Sweet Sibs, read about it here.

March 2017
We made a trip to Florida to visit Paul, Amanda, and Wyatt. Read more about it here.

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day.

Elise became obsessed with otters and liked to take her Otty to see the otters at the zoo and the aquarium.
April 2017
I finished the Aquarium Run Half-Marathon despite having injury issues in the spring, read about it here.

Harper turned 9 years old and we celebrated with a special birthday hike.
May 2017
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo.
Carter performed during a Mother's Day Tea at his school, read more about it here.
I took the kids bowling for the first time.

Carter stepped on something in the backyard and ended up with 3 stitches in his foot. Read more about it here.

June 2017
We celebrated National Doughnut Day with free doughnuts at Krispy Kreme.
Elise ran her first fun run at the Starlit race series.
Carter really hit his groove with running during the summer race series mile fun runs.
We enjoyed free kids movies at the movie theater.

Carter went rollerskating for the first time at a friend's birthday party.
Elise really took off with potty training.

Elise was tall enough to ride rides this year at the fair, more here.

Amanda and Wyatt visited Kansas and we got to celebrate Wyatt's 1st birthday a little late.

  1. Very interesting to look back. Elise used to barely reach Carter's shoulder, so she's quite a bit taller now.
