Wordless Wednesday

Jeremy Update:

Today was a great day. Jeremy was stable all day with only a couple spikes into the low and mid-20's. His ICP even remained stable when he was moved around and re-positioned. I got to go visit him during the kids' naptime and happened to be there when the neurosurgeon came by. He said Jeremy was doing really well, right where they've been wanting him. He said within the next few days they will start weaning him off the pentobarbital which will bring him out of the coma. Then he said knock on wood while knocking on the wall which I assume is dry wall... Anyway, the plan is to decrease it a little bit every 6-8 hours so it will be a long process. I am so excited that he is doing well enough and is stable enough for them to be discussing that. It's also a little bit scary because I'm not sure what he will be like when he wakes up and what the brain damage will be like. Either way, it was great news and I can't wait for Jeremy to wake up! I'm just hoping all goes well as they begin to decrease the meds and they are able to continue until he is fully off the pentobarbital!
