What the Kids Say About Their Momma

Ever since Carter was 2 and a half I've done a fun little questionnaire with him for Mother's Day each year. It's so cute to hear his answers each year and I love reading back over what he said in the past. I tried doing it with Elise last year since she was 2 and a couple months but it didn't go over very well. She mostly just screamed "NO!" at me every time I asked her a question. Here are their answers in 2018 at almost 5.5 years old (Carter) and just over 3 years old (Elise):

What is something mom always says to you?

Carter: Go to bed.
Elise: You kiss me.

What makes your mom happy?

Carter: When I kiss her.
Elise: I kiss her (and then she kissed me).

What makes your mom sad?

Carter: When I bonk my head.
Elise: How you get sad? (Then she kissed me to make me not sad). You get sad cause I didn't kiss you.

How does your mom make you laugh?

Carter: By tickling me.
Elise: Like, coo coo coo coo (as she tickled my arm).

What was your mom like as a child?

Carter: A baby that always stayed a baby.

Elise: Was I big? You was sleeping.

How old is your mom?

Carter: 31
Elise: 6 or 7 or 8, 9, 10, 11

How tall is your mom?

Carter: 8 feet tall, I mean 7 feet tall.
Elise: So big!

What is your mom's favorite thing to do?

Carter: To kiss me.
Elise: Eat me.

What does your mom do when you're not around?

Carter: What would you do if I'm not around, hmmm... play with sissy!
Elise: Just play with Carter.

If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?

Carter: It would be that you paid money.
Elise: Spank Carter

What is your mom really good at?

Carter: She's good at climbing, but I'm gooder at climbing than her.
Elise: Snuggling

What is your mom not very good at?

Carter: She's not very good at giving me hard spankings. Daddy can give me so hard spankings!
Elise: Play being mad at me.
Note: I did this with the kids at different times when the other child wasn't even in the room. It was funny to me that Elise referenced Carter getting spanked in an answer right before one where Carter referenced spankings. That was just a coincidence!

What does your mom do for a job?

Carter: She helps me get up.
Elise: Say bloooo (made a toot noise with her mouth).

What is your mom's favorite food?

Carter: Me! I did that because I know you love me!
Elise: Me!
Note: Again just a coincidence that they answered the same. I was so surprised by their answers here!

What makes you proud of your mom?

Carter: When you sing with me. 
Elise: Snuggling (she rubbed her head on my arm).

If your mom were a character who would she be?

Carter: My favorite movie... She would be... She'd never be a character, she's just going to be my mom.
Elise: Blue because you'd paint yourself.

What do you and your mom do together?

Carter: Go to the zoo.
Elise: Snuggle

How are you and your mom the same?

Carter: We both have big moles.
Elise: My eyes are blue! Your eyes are blue! This is not blue, this is pink (pointing at her skin).

How are you and your mom different?

Carter: I don't have a ring and you have a ring.
Elise: Like this, we are different numbers.

How do you know your mom loves you?

Carter: Whenever she kisses me.
Elise: Because I told you what's blue!

What does your mom like most about your dad?

Carter: That you married him. 
Elise: Because he's old.

Where is your mom's favorite place to go?

Carter: To me! When I'm at school she likes to pick me up.
Elise: Library

How old was your mom when you were born?

Carter: 50
