Wordless Wednesday

Looking at different kinds of maps.
He loved doing the Scholastic News maps on the back.
Going on a bike ride to our favorite picnic place.
Having a picnic on a lovely day.

Reviewing bar graphs.
Practicing telling time. Elise enjoyed moving the hour hand to practice identifying numbers and I'd move the minute hand for her.
Coloring in numbers to help practice counting by 5's.
This is how Elise watches tv apparently.
Elise said she did this so she could have her hands free.

Looking at all the state quarters I have, thanks to my mom. These have been so awesome to have for teaching, kids love them. We talked about maps, states, quarters, and what states are famous for, all using these state quarters.
Elise kneading dough to help me make cinnamon rolls.
Helping add the cinnamon and sugar to our cinnamon rolls.
Ready to try a yummy homemade cinnamon roll. It was my first time making them homemade!
We went to Lake Eufaula State Park and Elise wanted a picture with the fish.
Her poses in this series of pictures is amazing.
Not only did she dress in a summer sunflower dress with tie dyed leggings, but she asked me to put her hair in 2 ponytails and leave one down but put the other in a bun. This girl is something else!

They found a puddle full of tadpoles on our hike and could have spent the whole time there playing with the tadpoles!
Hiking at Lake Eufaula State Park.
It was very pretty there!
The gentle leader has been amazing at curbing Tesla's pulling.

We went to the bluffs overlooking the lake and the kids had a blast skipping rocks in the lake.
Then they had to climb all over the rocks.
Ty started climbing across so they had to follow and then I had to follow, haha!
My little monkeys.
At one point Tesla was on a rock and thought the water was shallow so stepped off, but it was a drop off and she sunk all the way to her neck. She was not pleased and the face she made was hilarious!
We always have to take a picture by the state park sign. It helps me remember where we went, haha!
Elise was ready to jump!
Family picture from Ty's phone.
My 3 babies enjoying some rock climbing.
Elise keeps up even in a dress. It did make me a little nervous because her dress would get caught on rocks, but she never tripped.
Skippy snuggles.
Carter reading Dog Man to Elise.
The kids wanted to go for a run with me so I took them for a mile and then dropped them back off at home. Elise ran the whole mile in 10:29. Carter stopped and rested a few times. Elise was sad and didn't want to stop yet so I stopped back by at the end of my run and took them for another run.
Running at the end of my run with me.
Elise wanted to use her baby animal surprises as bingo makers.
I mad the kids yogurt parfaits in a special little parfait cup. Elise said, "This is the best day ever!"

Elise putting the finishing touches on her painting.
Elise's painting, you can just barely see her flying in the sky toward the right and middle of the picture.
Thomas opening up his birthday presents we left on his porch.
The kids set up on his walkway like they were just going to hang out there. Elise got their umbrellas to shield them from the sun so they wouldn't get too hot.

Using stickers to make shapes by putting them on the outline of the shape.
Carter wanted to do some stickers too so I made him a couple pages so he could use the stickers.

  1. Did Carter draw the Mario or trace it? It was fantastic! I like Elise wearing shorts over leggings. :) I was shocked she wore sweat pants until I realized that being green meant they were her St Patrick's Day costume. :) I didn't see you make the turn on the bike, Elizabeth. I hope that doesn't mean you couldn't do it. hahaha This was a lot of fun.

    1. She loves that outfit from Gigi and Papa. It's a Lion King shirt with jean shorts. When it's too chilly to wear it, she puts legging on under the shorts. Girl has style! They both love those green sweatpants for some reason. It's cute. I didn't make the turn because I was just testing the bike out while Ty got situated with Elise in the bike seat.

  2. I'm kind of surprised they like the sweat pants, too, because of the elastic in the waist and ankles. Plus, they weren't a very pretty color. haha

    1. Maybe they like them because they each have one. They're also really soft on the inside.
