Half and Full Marathons Plus Some Others

I started getting this post ready before Grandma's and was so sure I'd have another sub-3:30 marathon to add to the list. I was so excited about that, but alas, I did not have a sub-3:30 marathon to add! I'm just thankful I had another marathon to add and that Grandma's didn't end in my first ever DNF. There were multiple half-marathons added. I like keeping track of my longer races because I've run enough half-marathons, I wouldn't be able to keep track otherwise! Carter asked me how many 5ks I've run on our drive home from Grandma's and I had absolutely no idea. I couldn't even give him a ballpark idea.

Finishing my most recent half-marathon, the Joplin Memorial Run.

  1. I wish I'd have kept a list of every race I ever ran! Like you I have the marathons and halves listed, and could put together many more if I put a lot of work into it with old training logs, etc. - but I ran so many when I was a teenager that would be difficult to catalog. This is a message we need to tell new runners, hah!

    1. Right? When I first made a list of my half-marathons, I had to really search for them. What makes it harder is when I was first running a lot of the races didn't have online results. My first half-marathon didn't have online results so I really had to work to find it!

    2. Somehow I had the foresight to keep lists of all of my half and full marathons from the start, but I'm sure I'll never know how many total races I've done. Same with lifetime miles run - I wish I'd have tracked that starting from the beginning!
