2019 Running Review

Back in 2016 I got the idea to do a running review at the end of the year from my friend, Sara. Now that it's a yearly tradition, it's so much fun for me to do each year, looking back over my year in running and everything I've accomplished. This year was one of my best yet. I ran some crazy fast 5k times for me in the spring. I honestly didn't think I'd ever get close to breaking 19 minutes again. Now I feel like I could do it if I'd ever focus on the 5k, but I'm not sure I'll ever do that. We'll see! On our drive home from Topeka for Christmas, I pulled up my running review from 2018 and saw I mentioned maybe I'd be able to hit 2,019 miles in the year 2019. It made me wonder where I was at so I checked on Strava and I was at 1,979 miles for the year. I realized if I just continued on with my planned mileage for the next week, I'd hit exactly 2,019. I was so excited! How fun is that! So this year for the first time ever I hit exactly the year with the number of miles I ran that year. It was also the highest yearly mileage I've ever had, not counting college because I have no idea what it was back then, but I know it was likely much higher. Read past years' running reviews here: 2018, 2017, and 2016.

Total Miles Run: 2,019!!!!
