The kids' bus driver was back and the bus was 3 minutes early this morning! The night before the first day of school Carter said he couldn't wait to go back to school. Elise sat next to me on the couch and cried because she wanted to stay home with me instead of going to school. When I told her I would not be at home, she said, "Why can't we just be born not stupid?" Then followed that up with, "Why can't God make us born knowing everything we need to know so we don't have to go to school?" I knew she'd be fine once she got to school and she was. She was so happy when I got home and told me she had a great day. Ty dropped the kids off at the bus and picked them up because it was also my first day of school which meant all hands on deck for drop off and pick up. I think that really helped, otherwise Elise may have cried getting on the bus. It's always fun to read back over past first days of school to see how the kids have changed.
