2024 was a year of big changes. Carter started middle school and is thriving! Elise is at school by herself for the first time ever. In preschool I taught at the school with her and from kindergarten on, she had Carter with her. They have both handled the changes really well. I moved down to 1st grade and although it it more exhausting and challenging than 2nd grade, I feel like I'm back home where I belong. Ty took a promotion at work at the very end of 2024 and will start his new position as purchasing specialist at the beginning of 2025. Carter has some big things coming in 2025. He designed a Christmas ornament that was selected to be on the Oklahoma tree on the White House grounds, we will get the original drawings back in 2025. He entered the Spooky Story Contest at the library and was one of 30 authors out of 423 submissions whose story was selected to be published. The book will come out in February! Then right before break he auditioned for a part in his middle school's production of Matilda the Musical and earned the part of Bruce which was his top choice! The musical will be in April and I'm so excited to see him perform!
