"You were saying such inspiring stuff and then Elise did that." -Carter after I was telling them something and Elise farted in the middle of it.

Me: You guys were very polite to each other and started my morning off very nicely.
Carter: I decided it's more fun to sing than be mad.

Carter: Want to hear my top 4 Percy Jackson books in order?

Me: How many have you read?

Carter: 4.

Me: So you are just going to put all the books you've read in order?

Me: On my run this morning I saw 3 piles of puke. I ran past one of the sidewalk and then a little bit later one partially on the sidewalk, and then a bit past that there was one in the road.

Elise: Where were they?

Me: Across from Quik Trip. If you are at the stoplight by Taco Bell and then take a left.

Elise: Maybe they ate Taco Bell.

Elise: You told me lavender wasn't a flavor. 

Me: What, no I didn't. It's a flower and sometimes they use it to flavor stuff.

Elise: You told me it wasn't a flavor.

Me: What, like at Sonic or something?

Elise: No

Me: I don't know what you're talking about.

Elise: Me either.

Carter later told me we were discussing velvet and I told her it wasn't a color (but that the flavor red velvet is always red) and that was what she was thinking of.
