Another Thursday At Home

Carter enjoyed our day together last Thursday so much that he just had to spend the day together again today.  When I arrived at lunchtime yesterday his teacher warned me he had a couple of loose stools and diarrhea earlier in the day and threw up a few times.  I was surprised because he was so happy and talkative and didn't seem fussy at all.  But leave it to our boy to be happy no matter what, he really doesn't get too fussy when he's sick.
Harper trying her hardest to make Carter feel better.

After I picked him up yesterday he seemed fine all evening, was happy as could be and had no loose stools but did throw up a little bit after dinner.  I was on the fence as to whether or not I should keep him home.  Then last night he didn't sleep very well at all, crying and fussing unless we held him.  Then when he woke up at 6 am he wouldn't nurse so I decided to call a sub and keep him home.

I called my favorite sub who miraculously hadn't picked up a job yet.  She is well liked and normally has to be booked for a while ahead of time.  Then I made sub plans and sent them to my co-teacher to print and lay out and tried nursing Carter again.  That time he ate like a champ.  He took a long morning nap and woke up smiley and giggling.  Since he was doing so well I decided to go ahead and take him for a run.  Harper was following us around all morning and doting on Carter so I decided to take her too.  The entire drive to the trails Carter laughed at Harper.  When I got him out and put him in the stroller there was an older woman in a car next to us with the window down.  Carter was belly laughing at Harper and the woman was chuckling at his cuteness.  I told her Carter thinks Harper's hilarious and she agreed.
Excited to sit with Harper.

We got home from our run and Carter was just so happy.  He hadn't had any bowel issue at all.  I was starting to think I had wasted a sick day.  It was like Carter wanted to let me know, oh yes mommy you made the right choice.  I tried feeding him some rice cereal for lunch since he seemed to be doing so much better.  He ate a decent amount, but then cried, didn't want anymore, and threw up a little.

As I pulled him out of his high chair I heard his tummy making a strange noise and he had a look on his face like he was thinking, "Uh oh, not this again!"  I heard the tell tale sounds of him filling his diaper and then heard it begin to splatter on the floor.  That's right, running out the sides and top of his diaper and splattering all over the floor.  I carried him into his bedroom and started to rip off his onesie which was filled with poo from the top of his diaper to the nape of his neck.  Of course, he was screaming the whole time.  I get him relatively cleaned up and took him into the bathroom for a bath.  As I was soaping him up I kept noticing he still smelled like poo.  I then looked down and realized it's not him, it's me.  I took my shirt off, but the smell lingered.  I stood up and looked in the mirror to discover the entire left side of my shorts was covered with poop on the back.  I ripped off my shorts too and then pulled Carter out of the poo water.
Playing in poo water.
What a mess and what a day.  I'd say I made the right decision to stay home with Carter today.  I did message the doctor who suggested we give him some pedialyte and then call tomorrow for an appointment if Carter's not feeling better.  I'm going to try going back to work tomorrow.  Hopefully Carter doesn't have another blow out instance.  Wish us luck!

Tuesday Randomness

Carter has picked up some new tricks at daycare.  One day I was there for lunch and set him on the ground to play with me.  He started scooting backward while sitting up until he was underneath the rocking chair.  He thought it was hilarious and just laughed and laughed.  In the classroom he will roll over to the toy shelf, push all the toys out and then roll into the shelf.  His teacher sent me a picture of him in the shelf and it cracked me up, he is such a silly boy!
Scooting around on the floor at daycare.
Oh, just hanging out in the shelf!
We got our security system installed yesterday.  It's so nice to feel a little bit safer.  The only problem was last night the alarm went off in the middle of the night at 4:30 am.  Carter is the only thing around here allowed to wake me up at that time!  We're not sure why it triggered, but it was all out of whack and they had to send someone out to fix it today.

Tonight I got to put on a fashion show for Ty and Ang.  One of my co-workers and mom to one of my students gave me a big bag of clothes that no longer fit her to replace some of the clothes I lost when we were robbed.  It was so nice of her and all of the clothes were so cute and in great condition!  My favorite item was a pair of Gap leggings.  Talk about soft and comfy!  I'm wearing them right now and am contemplating never taking them off...

Carter has been enjoying rides on shoulders lately.  He laughs and bounces and cracks up.  I've done it a few times with him and he's just a hoot!  I was afraid he'd lean too much and start to slip, but he's all business up there!
Hitching a ride in Target.

I originally planned to title this post randomness and some exciting news, but was afraid some of you might get excited thinking the news was a pregnancy.  Although I'd think you all would know if that's what the news was, you'd see a big ole picture of an ultrasound at the top of the post.  Anyway, I have some exciting news...  I found out today that I have been nominated for Teacher of the Year.  With such an amazing school and so many fabulous teachers, it is such an honor to be nominated.  I am beside myself with excitement!
I'll leave you with a pic of Carter and his Auntie Ang!

Another Postpartum PR

On Saturday we ran the Zoo Run 5k.  It was our first time running the race.  Ty read online that traffic getting into the zoo on race day is crazy.  The website suggested adding 30 minutes to your regular travel time in order to arrive on time.  Ty wanted to leave the house no later than 7:30 for the 8:30 race and we left a few minutes after 7:30.
The whole crew after the race.
We did fine getting to the zoo, but traffic getting into the parking lot was nuts.  After sitting in traffic for 20 minutes to get into the zoo, we found a parking lot outside the park and walked up to the start area.  At this point we had about 5 minutes until race start and still needed to pick up our timing chips.

As everyone else walked, I ran to the race start area to find the timing chips.  I grabbed mine, found everyone else, got their bib numbers, and picked up their chips.  As I was running back over to the start area (which was packed) I heard them announcing we had one minute until start time.  I still had my warmup sweats on and my timing chip in my hand.  I pulled off my sweats, shoved them under the stroller, and bent down to put my chip on my shoe as they began to count down 30 seconds from the race start.  The gun went off as I finished attaching my chip with zip ties.  I stood up and took off running.  I was far enough back I was weaving through walkers and knew it had taken me quite a while just to get to the starting line.
Thomas took his stroller duties seriously.

I spent the entire first mile of the race running on the grass to the side of the course and weaving through runners and walkers.  I was impressed that I finished the first mile in 6:50 with all the weaving I was doing.  My plan had been to run the same pace as Clash of the Clans, but to run my 2nd mile closer to 7 minutes rather than 7:05.  During the 2nd mile I was still passing LOTS of runners, but I was weaving much less.  My 2nd mile was 6:56, right where I wanted it to be!  I knew I could pick it up during the last mile and feelt good knowing I was on pace to run a new postpartum PR.

We turned into the zoo with about a half-mile or so to go.  I could see 2 young girls running ahead of me.  I caught up to them with about a quarter-mile to go and encouraged them as I passed them.  They took off sprinting as I went by and I caught up to them again.  When I looked down at my watch we were running 6:00 pace!  I was very impressed by how fast they were and took some comfort knowing that I had started the race late and wouldn't normally be running with such young girls.  I ended up finishing ahead of both the girls and found out at the awards ceremony that the one little girl was 9 years old and ran a 22:51!!!!  Crazy fast!  I finished mile 3 in 6:47 and as I crossed the finish line I saw 22:40something.  I figured I must've been a minute or so late starting the race.

As I walked back toward the race course to cheer on the rest of the family, I checked my watch.  According to my Garmin I had finished the race in 21:23, another postpartum PR!   It was fun to watch my brother, Thomas, come running up the hill to the finish pushing Carter in the stroller.  After seeing everyone finish I took off for my cool down.  It was so much fun running my cool down inside the zoo.  I saw lions, tigers, hyenas, and a black bear as I ran.

We stayed for the awards ceremony.  I knew they would go off of gun time rather than chip times for awards, but thought there was a chance some of us had still medaled.  I didn't realize my parents didn't know awards are based on gun time.  My dad was pretty disappointed.  I ended up 2nd in my age group and 4th overall female with a gun time of 22:50.  If I had started the race on time I would have won my age group and been 2nd overall female (3 seconds behind the winner, possibly giving her a run for her money).  My mom was the only other person in our group to medal with 3rd place in her age group.  She would have been 2nd place with her chip time.  My dad was 4th in his age group, but would have been 2nd had he started the race on time.
At the awards ceremony they had people in animal costumes which cracked me up and made me think of the Aquarium Run where there was a sea turtle and a shark costume.  I had gotten Carter's picture with the animals at the Aquarium Run, so of course I had to get a picture of him with the animals at the Zoo Run!  He enjoyed the animals a lot more this time around and even smiled at them!
Now we know for next year, leave earlier for this race!  We definitely enjoyed the race and plan to run it again!

Another Wonderful Weekend

We had another great weekend.  My parents and brother came to visit.  They arrived on Friday evening and we all ran the Zoo Run 5k on Saturday, more on that to come tomorrow.  My best friend, Ang, is staying with us this month for a rotation at a hospital here in town, so we had lots of company!
Cuddles with Auntie Ang.

Saturday morning we ran the race.  I took a nap with Carter and then we all went shopping.  We got home, tried some pumpkin beer, played games, and went to bed at a decent time.  On Sunday we went to visit my mom's cousin and his wife for her birthday.  Carter got lots of attention and snuggles from family.
Matching Uncie Tommy.
My parents brought their dogs so we had a house full of animals.  Carter loves dogs and especially loves the very small dogs.  Every time he sees them he laughs.  At one point my mom was holding him and both of the small dogs jumped up on her lap.  Carter loved every minute of it and excitedly slapped their backs.
Carter with the small dogs.

We got lots of rain Friday evening which washed most of the paint off Carter's pumpkin.  Luckily we had taken his picture with the pumpkin once in regular clothes and I had taken it again on Thursday with a special Halloween onesie on.  I was sad to see the paint gone because looking at the pumpkin everyday brought me such joy, but the backside still had a decent amount of paint so I spun it around.
When I took his picture on Thursday he was loving the dead leaves pushed up against our porch.  He kept grabbing them and playing with them.  I would pull the leaves out of his hand when he started to reach up toward his mouth.  He was really fast one time as I was taking pictures and got some leaf in his mouth.  I think he may have actually swallowed a little bit of it because he was coughing later on.  Definitely earned mother of the year award for that one!
Woo hoo, leaves are great!
OMGeeee, mommy isn't stealing the leaves away...

Nom nom nom!!!!

Carter and My Extra Day

Wednesday after school I was just winding down, talking with my co-teacher, and finishing up some work so I could head out to get Carter.  As I walked into my classroom I just barely missed a phone call.  I walked up to my desk and the phone rang again.  I answered and was greeted with an unknown woman's voice saying, "I'm calling about picking up your son today."  And I instantly panicked.  Like heart down in my stomach, tears in my eyes type of panic.  Who was this lady and why did she think she was picking up my son.  She went on to call Carter by name which freaked me out even more and said the daycare's name wrong.  Finally I had to ask her to start all over because I was so panicked I had no idea what she was saying or what was going on.

Once I had calmed down she explained a fire alarm had gone off at Carter's daycare and they had evacuated all of the children to a different building.  She was simply calling to let me know I needed to pick Carter up at a different building.  Wow, okay lady, you definitely need to work on how you start that conversation.

On the drive to pick Carter up I started thinking more about what had happened.  Thank goodness they had an evacuation plan, but I was scared to death.  Something horrible like a fire could happen at Carter's daycare and I wouldn't be there to help him, take care of him, and make sure he was safe.  It was the worst feeling in the world.  I was near tears by the time I picked him up, but still thought to ask what the plan was for the following day.  I was told if they had to relocate to another building they would have someone directing us where to go as we arrived to drop off.  Sounded fine to me.  I was emotionally drained when we got home and all I wanted to do was snuggle little man and thank my lucky stars he was safe, so we skipped our run.

The next morning I pulled into the daycare and noticed lots of vans and the absence of other parents.  No one was around directing parents where to go.  I hopped out of the car and walked up to the door to read a sign taped to the glass.  The sign said the daycare was closed.  Weird.  I had gotten no notification whatsoever.  A man working there stopped to help me and called around.  He said the daycare was closed and they weren't using a separate building.  Awesome, it was 8:00 am, school starts in 45 minutes and I have no sub and no one to watch Carter.

I drove to school, took Carter inside, and immediately went to talk with our administrative assistant.  She got the ball rolling to get a sub and I went down to my classroom to get things ready for a sub.  I put Carter on the floor with some toys and got busy on my plans.  Students started arriving and heading to their morning rotation.  They were peeking in and I could hear them talking excitedly that Carter was in the classroom.

One little boy came in to talk to me and when he saw Carter told me he'd like to stay in the classroom to help me with Carter rather than go to his morning rotation.  He was so sweet, getting me a Kleenex to clean snot from Carter's nose and giving me updates on what he was doing.  I knew with the late notice the sub would most likely be late, so when the bell rang to start class, I went ahead and got the kids started on their morning work.  I overheard the little boy tell some classmates that he got to stay in the classroom to watch Carter while I did my work.  It was so sweet!

A sweet card one of the students wrote me the next day!

After morning work I brought the students to the carpet and took their picture with Carter.  I wish I could post it here, it was so cute!  Finally after an hour and a half of teaching while carrying Carter around the room I called down to the office to let them know a sub had yet to arrive.  They sent a teaching assistant down to cover the class and we headed out.   The students loved getting to see Carter and even asked where he was the next day and why he couldn't be with us every day.

The day started off really stressful and I hadn't planned to take the day off, but it was really nice to have an extra day home with Carter.  Even though it was inconvenient how it went down, it's comforting to know the safety of the children is more important to the daycare than dealing with upset parents.
Enjoying his play day with mommy.

Ty, being the detective he is, finally got to the bottom of what happened.  There was an electrical fire somewhere in the building.  Before bringing the children back in an air quality test had to be done and the results take 24 hours to process.  I didn't get a phone call telling me the daycare was closed because they couldn't make long distance calls (I'm still on my parents' plan because it's cheaper to pay them $40 a month than have a plan of my own).  I was a little peeved they didn't send an e-mail or try to contact me another way, but I just let that one go.  My Carter boy is safe and that's all that matters!
Eating lunch.  He didn't eat it all, I saved some for dinner.

A Letter to Carter at 9 Months

I can't believe it's been a whole month since the last letter we wrote you.  I swear when I'm working the weeks and months fly by so much faster.  I wish I could pause time and slow it down, but mostly just in the evenings and on the weekends!  You are such a sweet baby.  It's ridiculous how often people comment on how calm you are.  We've been hearing it for 9 months now, but it never gets old.  You are an absolute doll.

You still aren't crawling which kind of surprises me, but also kind of doesn't.  You don't show interest in crawling at all.  You prefer to roll or scoot everywhere you go.  Anytime you are on your tummy you immediately roll over to your back.  The only times I get excited thinking you might crawl are when you want to get something and can't quite get there by rolling.  Then you get frustrated and fuss a little bit and I think, okay here we go!  But then you just give up and go after something else.  It's really the only time your easy going nature is a problem.

Even though you aren't crawling you are more mobile.  You scoot around while sitting up without toppling over which I find very impressive!  When I'm sitting on the floor by you, you climb into my lap.  It's so sweet.  The cutest is when I'm sitting behind you and you don't know it.  When you whip around and find me behind you, you reach for me, grab on, and pull yourself into my lap.  You also like to pull up on stuff.  You get up to your knees and bounce around.  You also love standing.  If I go to put you down to sit on the floor you stick your legs straight out because you want to stand.

Possibly the cutest thing you are up to now is reaching up to be held.  You love being held and are all about it.  When you see someone and want up, you stretch your arms up into the air.  It's adorable and impossible to say no to.  I had you in the Jumperoo one day while I vacuumed (so you could play on the floor without ingesting animal hair).  Daddy came by holding you and said, "I walked by and he reached up for me to pick him up and I couldn't resist."  It was so sweet and so true!  Your face is impossible to resist!

Another adorable thing you've picked up this month is clapping.  You started off clapping when I would say yay and clap at you.  Now you are a clapping fiend.  You clap while playing, you clap while riding in the car, you clap while riding in the stoller, you clap on the changing table, you clap in the bathtub.  You get the idea, you clap anywhere and everywhere.  You are to clapping as Sam I Am is to eating green eggs and ham.  You would do it here or there, you would do it anywhere.  The funniest for me was one morning as your daddy was leaving for work.  When he said goodbye you started clapping.  I laughed that you were clapping because he was leaving, but we all know you were clapping because you were excited to see him.  Every evening when he gets home I say, yay daddy!  And you smile and clap.  It's so sweet.

Your favorite game right now is "Where is Carter?"  I'll lay a blanket across your face and ask where you are, you pull it off and have the biggest grin on your face when I excitedly exclaim "There he is!"  I'll also put a blanket over my head and ask you where mommy is.  You'll pull it off and laugh when you see me.  We've tried it with Harper, but she runs away.  She's not a fan of having blankets thrown on her, I guess too many laughs at her expense when she was younger.
That game is how I got such sweet smiles from you for pictures!
Your coordination is getting much better.  You have the pincer grasp down and are able to feed yourself.  The only problem is that you think feeding yourself takes too long and you would rather have me feed you.  If I'm sitting at the table by you, you fuss and want me to feed you.  If I go in the kitchen where you can see me, but I'm not right there, you eat just fine.  But then when you're eating something messy with a spoon like yogurt, cereal, or cottage cheese you suddenly decide you must feed yourself and constantly reach for the spoon.  I usually let you have the spoon, you spill food all over making a mess, and then you allow me to finish feeding you.

You still aren't interested in sippy cups, but can drink out of a straw really well.  We were at a restaurant and I got a smoothie made with strawberries, bananas, peaches, water, and ice.  You kept reaching for it, so I gave you the straw not really expecting you to be able to drink any of it.  We were shocked when we saw the smoothie slowly making it's way up the straw and into your mouth.  Once you got the hang of it, you went to town.  Then I started worrying you'd give yourself a brain freeze!  We should probably get your sippy cups out more.  If you can drink through a straw on your own, you should be able to use a sippy cup.  We just haven't tried one in a while.

Sleeping has been a bit all over the place this month.  You were getting up once per night and then went to sleeping through the night for a week.  Then you got sick and that got all out of whack.  You went back to sleeping through the night for a week.  Then you must've started teething or something because you were back to waking up at night again.  You still just have 2 bottom teeth, so I'm sure more are on the way soon.

You used to just suck your thumb when you were tired but this month you are all about that thumb.  I think it might be somewhat due to teething because you alternate between sucking it and chewing on it.  At your doctor's appointment he suggested we start saving a little bit of money each month toward orthodontia for you later in life.  I guess the way you suck your thumb causes the most problem with teeth.  You little turkey!

Napping at daycare is all over the place like it always has been.  You usually take two 30 minute naps, but sometimes have one longer one.  At home on the weekends you take 2 good naps.  You are usually awake for 2 hours, nap for an hour or 2, are awake for 3-4 hours, and take another 30 minute to hour nap.  We still start your bedtime routine between 7 and 7:30 and you are asleep by 8 or 8:30.

Meals have changed this month.  You still eat rice cereal or oatmeal cereal in the morning for breakfast after you nurse.  At lunchtime you have 4 ounces of a fruit or vegetable puree which is followed by a bottle at daycare or nursing at home.  At daycare you get a snack with the other kids around 3:00 of rice cereal and puffs.  For dinner you eat cut up chunks of food with a side of yogurt or cottage cheese.  The new things you’ve had this month are mango, apricot, asparagus, cottage cheese, chicken, tofu, plain whole milk yogurt, cantaloupe, and eggplant.  So you’ve had apples, avocados, rice cereal, bananas, pears, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, apricots, mangos, nectarines, peaches, plums, prunes, carrots, peas, zucchini, chicken, tofu, plain whole milk yogurt, Cheerio's, cantaloupe, grapes, kiwi, asparagus, eggplant, and cottage cheese.  Whew, that's a lot!

Last month you didn't have a well baby appointment so your dad and I weighed and measured you.  We measured you at 30 ½ inches long which must've been wrong because at your doctor's appointment this month you were 28.8 inches long.  I wasn't sure how accurate last month's measurement was because daddy measured you while I was giving you a bath...  That puts you at the 67th percentile for height.  You weighed in at 18 pounds, 14 ounces which puts you at the 24th percentile which amazes me because you seem so chunky!  You've been right around the 45th percentile since you were 3 months old, so I guess you are slimming down a bit now.

Your head circumference is 46.5 cm which puts you at the 81st percentile.  I was cracking up because your daddy has a very large head to the point that he struggles to find hats in stores that fit.  When I was pregnant I was a bit worried about your head size, but you were around the 50th percentile when they checked.  When you were born your head circumference was in the 5th percentile and has steadily grown since.  To the 9th percentile at one month, 22nd percentile at 4 months, 56th percentile at 6 months, and now to the 81st percentile.  I'm interested to see what you're at when we go in for your 12 month appointment!  You're just growing such a big brain in there!

Right now you are wearing mostly 9 month and 12 month clothes.  The length of 12 month jammies fit better, but they are made for a slimmer, more mobile baby.  I have a hard time getting them to zip over your big ol' chubby thighs!  You have some 18 month jammies that fit really well, the foot area is just too big.  I swear your feet are super small for your size.  We saw a 4 month old a few weeks ago and his feet were bigger than yours!  Our favorite outfit this month was your plaid overalls with your blue polo from Aunt Judy and Uncle Mike.  We also loved your jean shorts from Grandma and Grandpa.  You are still wearing size 3 diapers.  We've haven't done as well with cloth diapers on weeknights and weekends this month.  It's been super busy!

Every month I love you more and more.  My phone is so full of pictures and videos (basically all of you with a few of daddy, Harper, and Skippy thrown in) that there isn't enough space to save any more.  I've been going through and deleting pictures to make more room.  As I've gone back through I've enjoyed looking at pictures and watching videos of you from a newborn all the way to now.  I was watching one video where I was so excited you had your eyes open and were looking around.  Daddy came in while I was taping and excitedly exclaimed, "His eyes are open!"  It was so cute.  As much fun as you were then and as much as I loved you, you are so much more fun now!  You crack me up with all your talking and moving and bouncing.  You are the sweetest baby I've ever known and I love you so much it hurts!  I can't believe another month has gone by.  Before we know it we will be celebrating your first birthday.  I love you so much, little man!

Now on to daddy:

Everyday you grow more independent and just want to do everything for yourself. Watching you feed yourself is a lot of fun. You get better every day at getting the food into your mouth with less and less on the floor and your lap. Good for you, not so good for Harper who is always patiently waiting for and droppings. I am sure that it will not be long before you learn to give her food off your plate so she will survive!

Lately I have been working on remodeling the bathroom at nights and your mom brings you in to say goodnight. I love it because as soon as you seem me, you start cracking up and giggling. The fact that you react like that when you see me warms my heart.

No crawling yet but you love to stand whenever you get the chance. Some times it's hard to get you down because you stick your legs out and try so hard to stand. Bouncing is also another favorite although sometimes you bounce so hard that you lose your balance and fall over.

Soon you will be walking and all over and we cannot wait. It will be so much fun! These upcoming holidays will also be a blast because you are so interested in everything around you. I am sure all of the lights, paper, boxes and family will have you very very excited.
Whatcha still doin here?  That's the end!

*This post is late.*

I Love...

Halloween Oreos.  They are my favorite Oreos.  I have a whole theory as to why they are better than any other Oreos.  Regular Oreos don't have enough creme and double stuff Oreos have too much.  The holiday Oreos have more creme than regular Oreos to make the color stand out more, but not as much as double stuff Oreos which gives them the perfect amount of creme.  Why are the Halloween Oreos better than the other holidays?  Not sure, I guess just because orange and dark brown just look so good together!

Carter's pumpkin.  Every morning when I leave the house I look at it and smile.  Every evening when I get home it has the same effect.  It is just so adorable and I picture his cute little almost naked booty painting it.  What's not to love about that?!!?

How sweet Harper is with Carter.  She's such a skittish and timid dog, it amazes me how good she is with him.  She lets him grab ahold of her and yank out handfulls of fur.  The only thing she asks in return is to lick his face.  Well, she doesn't actually ask, she just goes for it.  This weekend I was cleaning and set Carter down on the floor for a minute.  He was having an "I want to snuggle all day long" kind of day, so he started crying.  When I turned around Harper was at his side, sniffing him, and making sure he was okay.  She's such a sweet girl!
Wherever Carter is, Harper is always nearby.

This picture Ty found on the internet.  It is so totally Skippy!  He was all about Carter and snuggled up to my belly all the time when I was pregnant.  Now not so much.  Carter gives an excited screech every time he sees Skippy which is then Skippy's cue to run like hell.

We have the before picture, now we just need the after!
Doll parties at daycare.  Carter and his best bud at daycare love having all the dolls out and playing together.  It warmed my heart to watch.  They would pick one doll that was their favorite and trade it back and forth.  She would play with it and Carter would snatch it from her, he would play with it and she'd snatch it from him.  Sadly, she just moved up to the one year old room.  We have 3 more months until we get to see her again!

Carter getting ready to doll snatch.
Our new camera.  It's definitely an upgrade from Ty's old camera.  He paid quite a bit more for his back in the day than this one cost.  The quality of pictures is so worth it.  I am amazed each time I upload and look at pictures.
One of the first pictures Ty took with our new camera, our pretty Harper Lee!
Carter's dancing and bouncing.  He loves this cube at daycare that lights up and plays music.  When he hears it he dances just a little bit.  I hadn't even thought about how cute it would be when he started dancing and man is it precious.  He also bounces when he gets excited.  Today when I picked him up from daycare he got so excited when he saw me that he started bouncing.  When I talked to him he bounced even harder.  Right before I got to him he got an oh no look on his face and toppled over because he had bounced so hard.  I felt so bad, but up until the moment he toppled over it was adorable!
The magical light up, musical cube.
