Summer is Approaching!

Summer has always been my favorite season. I used to think it was because I had summers off from school as a student and then as a teacher. I considered fall my real favorite with the best running weather, awesome races, and falling leaves. But now with 3 years of staying home under my belt which means all seasons are pretty much the same as far as day to day schedule, I know that summer is most definitely my favorite season. As the end of the school year approaches, Carter only has 2 weeks of school left, I find myself getting so excited for the start of summer. I love wearing dresses and flip flops and playing at the splash pad. I'm already looking forward to the summer reading program and all the special library activities throughout the summer. This year we are signed up for Kids Bowl Free. The kids get to bowl 2 free games every day (although we definitely won't go that often) from April 30th-August 27th and I even added Jake to our coupons in case he is with us on a day we want to bowl. Then for just $30 I purchased 2 free games for up to 4 adults per day. I added myself, Ty, Jeremy (Uncie J), and Thomas (Uncie Taco) to the pass so we could have up to 6 people all bowling for free! If you haven't heard about this awesome program, click here to find out about a program in your area! I'm also looking forward to the $1 summer kids movie schedule coming out now that Carter and Elise can both handle going to the movies. I'm hoping there will be a couple of movies we'd like to go see. Summertime brings back so many fond memories like both kids' first times in swimming pools, both kids' first times completing the summer reading program, lots of splash pad fun, and just enjoying being outside!

Summer 2014, Carter was about a year and a half old.
Summer 2015, Carter was about 2.5 years old and Elise was a few months old.
Summer 2015, Elise was a a few months old.
Summer 2015, Elise was a few months old.
Summer 2016, Elise was just over a year old and Carter was about 3.5 years old.
Bring on summer 2017 and all the memories to be made! It's hard to believe Elise is over 2 years old and Carter will be 4.5 years old in about a month!
