I Love...

The idea of making Carter’s baby food.  I get excited as I look up pointers and recipes for making baby food.  On one website I found, she freezes her baby food in heart shaped ice cube trays.  As most of you know, I think everything is cuter in the shape of a heart!
Watching Ty feed Carter.  It’s the most precious thing seeing Ty gently scrape food from Carter’s chin and patiently wait to give him another bite because he’s busy sucking his fist.

Nursing.  It’s the best feeling to have Carter snuggled up to me.  He’ll rub his hand on me and sometimes even looks up at me and smiles.  I’m so grateful Carter latched so well from the beginning and I’ve always produced enough to avoid supplementing.

This weather!  It’s so much fun to take Carter outside.  I know soon it will be blazing hot since Oklahoma likes to skip spring and go from winter to summer, hence belonging to tornado alley.  But I absolutely love it when it’s 70 degrees.
Soaking up some sun with Great Grandpa and Grandma.
Feeling like a runner again.  I am finally feeling strong and am able to run decent times.  Hopefully by November I’ll be in good half marathon shape for the Route 66 Half-Marathon.  Won’t take much to beat my time from this past one since I was 32 weeks pregnant!

The new cinnamon sugar pretzels at Quick Trip.  I had a gift card and saw a sign advertising their new pretzels so I decided to try one.  It comes with glaze and boy is it delicious!

Our new furniture arrangement in our room next to the kitchen, I guess you could call it our sitting room.  Ty’s mom suggested we move things around and it is just so much cozier in there!

Bum Genius Cloth Diapers.  We use them in the evenings and on weekends.  I feel like they are better for Carter’s tush and I love that we aren’t contributing as many disposable diapers to landfills.  I’m sure it will save us money in the long run, especially because I will get to use them all day long over the summer and on breaks from school.  They would use them at daycare if we asked them to, but I would feel bad because it’s not their norm and they would have to store the dirty diapers which would stink up the classroom!

How talkative Carter is.  He coos and smiles.  We are anxiously awaiting his first giggles.  I'm sure he will be laughing soon!

That there are only 29 school days between me and spending all day long with Carter!  I am sooooo excited for summer break!

I could go on and on and on, but I’ll leave it at that!  What are you loving these days?

  1. What sweet sounds in that video. And Dad says, Ty has "Dad mouth" feeding Carter.
